Fannie Kuller Biderman was born on January 20, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her life has spanned the first decades of the 20th century into the new millennium. The daughter of Russian-Jewish immigrants who settled in Ohio just prior to World War I, she witnessed the great events of the time. Trained as a commercial artist at the University of Cincinnati, she went on to become a wonderful painter, potter and designer who studied with some of the finest artists of the day in New York, Los Angeles, San Antonio and San Francisco.

In 1939, she married Abraham (Ed) Biderman. She has two sons, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Fannie has been a life-long socialist/feminist who maintained her ideals during the darkest days of the McCarthy era and has inspired three generations of family and friends. She continued her activities well into her late 90s working with groups like the Grey Panthers, demanding better treatment for the elderly and promoting the values of peace and justice.

This website is a celebration of her life, her work and her determined spirit over 100 years.
